Community Rules

1. Club cart/ golf cart usage

*Only LICENSED drivers are permitted to operate golf carts per County Ordinance Sec. 12-67. – Limitations and Safety Criteria*

  1. Drive only on the paved roads in the Club.
  2. Use designated golf cart parking at the beach along Yaupon Lane, first come, first served, or in the county parking lot.
2. Wristbands must be worn in season at ALL amenities.
  • Anyone not wearing a band will be denied access to facilities or services.
3. Fitness Center, facilities and amenities:
  • Users must sign-in at the Fitness Center before use. Sign-in constitutes acceptance of the waiver (located at the bottom of the sign-in sheet). Users must be familiar enough with the equipment to use it unsupervised for the purpose for which it is intended.
4. Parking
  • NO parking on grassed areas.
  • NO parking in cul-de-sacs.
  • No overnight on-street parking. Temporary on-street parking is allowed; vehicles being parked with the flow of traffic whenever possible, on the opposite side of the street from sidewalks, where applicable.
  • Violations of these parking rules are subject to towing at the owner’s expense.
5. Gates: guest code is required when gates are unmanned.

  • Only one vehicle may enter any gate per activation. To avoid risk of damage to vehicles by gate, each vehicle must re-enter code for entry.
  • Management is not responsible for damage to vehicles ‘piggybacking’ through the gate.
  • All gates are under 24-hour surveillance.
  • Driver will be held responsible for damages, including up to a $350 fine.
6. Solid waste of pets and service animals must be picked up and disposed of.
  • Utilize the pet waste pick-up bags located throughout the Community. Pets are not allowed on the Trolleys, with the exception of service animals.
7. NO ATVs or dirt bikes may be operated within The Currituck Club.
8. Dumpster
  • The dumpster located in the Fitness Center parking lot is for use by TCCPOA staff for the maintenance and management of the community. For special circumstances, contact TCCPOA management at 252-453-4011 for permission and directions before depositing any trash, garbage bags, or other items into the dumpster. 9. Fires
  • Propane or charcoal barbeques ONLY. Outdoor burning prohibited. Tiki torches must be 10-feet from any structure. Tiki torches and candles must be attended to at all times. See Outdoor Fire Rules in its entirety at currituckclubresort.com.

Community Guidelines

1. Beach access and parking
  • County ordinance strictly prohibits driving or parking on the beach access in order to keep that area clear for emergency vehicles. Park in the Currituck County South Beach public access lot.
2. Trash and recycling service
  • The Club has a roll-out and roll-back service, twice a week, in-season. Cans will be rolled out Sunday and Thursday afternoons for pick up and then back in on Monday and Friday mornings. Only trash in the cans will be picked up. Do not leave garbage outside of the cans. During the off-season, there is no roll out service but roll back will be on Monday morning after collection.
3. ALL fireworks and Chinese lanterns are illegal to possess, expel or release.
  • Dial 911 if you notice fireworks being used.
4. No excessive outdoor noise permitted after 11:00 pm.
  • Report all violations to Currituck County Sheriff’s Office at 252-232-2424.
5. Respect nearby communities.
  • Please enjoy the amenities provided to you at The Currituck Club. Do not trespass into Ocean Sands or Spindrift. Our beach access is located adjacent to the public bathhouse and Surf Shack, where we provide complimentary Beach Valet service during the in-season.
6. Sound access
  • Sound access is not allowed from The Currituck Club. Please see the Concierge for docking points and slip areas located in Corolla.

Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions

1. Parking
  • NO boat, boat trailer, other trailer, camper, recreational vehicle, utility vehicle or truck will be allowed to remain on any street or any lot or on any portion of the common properties overnight unless it is enclosed within a garage that has been constructed in accordance with the provisions of the CC&Rs. Contact the rental company for alternate arrangements or Fitness Center desk for additional options available in the area.
2. Exterior lighting
  • No exterior lighting other than at entranceways or stairways will be allowed after 11:00 pm.
2. Pet on leash
  • At no time will household pets be allowed to run free, and at all times when off the owner’s lot, pets will be on a leash.
4. No offensive activity
  • or excessive noise shall be carried on upon any portion of the properties, nor shall anything be done tending to cause embarrassment, discomfort, annoyance or nuisance to any owner, tenant, or guest thereof in any portion of the properties..
5. Open fires
  • Open fires, whether located in a container or on the ground, on any lot or dwelling unit or on any portion of the common properties are prohibited unless procedures adopted by the Board are strictly followed.
