Start your day off with a water aerobics or poolside yoga class throughout the week and top it off with a poolside latte at our new Coffee Club (located at the tiki bar at the main pool near the Fitness Center). Check out the Navigator for dates and times!

If pickleball is your thing, we’ve got beautiful courts to accommodate your play, and tournaments during the week to challenge your game. For a fun poolside movie night (with free popcorn!), grab a snack from the new pizza oven or hot dog roaster, indulge in a mocktail, and of course cold beer and wine are always on tap (can you say Frose´??).

Staying in The Currituck Club means unsurpassed beach services. Experience the Outer Banks’ only Beach Valet service and for those bigger loads, don’t let those big tents and all those chairs get you down – arrange for a DoorToShore pickup and let us do the work!

Beautiful new tiles grace all of our pools for you to float blissfully in the blue water with family and friends. Catch a trolley to any of our amenity areas and follow their location with the Trolley Tracker (no more wondering how close it is!). We’ve got extra parking for your golf cart at the beach so if you’d like to rent a cart, visit The Currituck Club’s official cart sponsor OBXbeachtoyrentals.com to have it delivered right to your house!

Cheers to a fantastic 2023 Summer and we hope to see you at a Jolly Trolley or corn hole tournament or just taking in the sun at the beach. Enjoy!

The Currituck Club includes 625 homesites, including both part-time and full-time residents; in addition to being a beautiful vacation destination for many each year. Whether you're planning a week's stay or a permanent move, let us show you what The Currituck Club lifestyle is all about!

Our Legacy

In the 1800s, there was a mass hunting of waterfowl for both food and the feathers that adorned the high fashion of the times. American industrialists began building hunt clubs along the east coast as a means of gathering and socializing around what had quickly become a popular gentlemen’s sport. With an abundance of Canadian geese, The Currituck Shooting Club on the northern Outer Banks soon became the largest of these clubs. Established in 1857, Currituck is appropriately named from the Native American word which means “land of the wild goose.”

The Currituck Shooting Club was popular among wealthy New Yorkers who would use the sound as their highway to access the Club by boat. Memberships to this Club were very exclusive, and not open to the public; non-members had to be invited by one of the elite members in order to attend. The Currituck Shooting Club played host to many important visitors over the years, including Teddy Roosevelt, J.P. Morgan, W.K. Vanderbilt and Andrew Carnegie. In 1879, a Clubhouse was built for The Currituck Shooting Club situated on what is now Historic Loop and home to several custom, individually-owned residences. The Clubhouse was elaborate, with three sections built from beautiful cedar and lined with ornate hardwood floors.

This extraordinary Clubhouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. Sadly, in 2003 the Clubhouse burned down. The dock and boathouse that were built alongside the Clubhouse still survive today. At the time of the fire, it was the oldest active Club of its kind. In the 1990s, houses were built on spectacular grounds around a beautifully-designed golf course. Thus began The Currituck Club for what it is today; a premiere resort community beaming with history and one-of-a-kind landscape.
